BEFORE YOUR VISIT · REPAIR ADVICE
Make your repair visit easier.
A simple checklist for a smoother appliance assessment.
Share the right details
Send your suburb, appliance type, brand, model and a description of the fault. A photo of the display or a short recording of a noise can help. If the model label is not easily accessible, say so; do not move a heavy or fitted appliance just to find it.
Arrange access
Tell the team about gates, estate registration, parking, lifts, stairs and fitted cabinetry. Make sure someone can let the technician in and explain the symptoms. For a rental property, agree in advance who can approve the quote.
Keep the work area clear
Move loose household items away from the appliance where you can do so safely. Keep children and pets away from the work area. Do not disconnect hardwired equipment, pull out integrated appliances or move heavy machines yourself.
Confirm charges and timing
Ask about the assessment charge, appointment arrangements and the process if a part must be ordered. An enquiry is not a confirmed appointment. Wait for the team to agree the visit details before planning around a time.
Prepare your questions
Ask what the assessment found, what work is recommended, what the quote includes and what cover applies. Keep the job details and invoice for future reference. Only approve work once you understand the scope and cost.
Keep it safe.
These guides help you describe a fault and prepare a booking. For model-specific care, use the manufacturer’s manual. Leave internal electrical, mechanical and refrigeration work to an appropriate technician.
